Presumably the Viant tribe migrated across what is now Hungary, Austria, eastern France (Lorraine), ending up in Cornwall England in the 16c - where they largely are to this day. and always just ahead of the next war or battle. In the 19c many (mostly miners) emigrated to USA, Australia and South Africa. My branch (Bodmin Cornwall) became lawyers, tax inspectors, doctors and engineers - as they are to this day but now scattered along Englands' south coast.

Meine Filiale (Bodmin Cornwall) wurde zu Anwälten, Steuerprüfern, Ärzten und Ingenieuren - so wie sie es bis heute sind, aber jetzt an der Südküste Englands verstreut.
